Red Maple, operated by Gold Star Hospitality, respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices available to you, including specific rights for California residents.
Information We Collect
Automatically, through Google Analytics
Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it — which pages are viewed, how long a visit lasts, what device and browser were used, and an approximate location based on IP address. This is aggregate, statistical information that we use to see what's working on the site. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this. Information you choose to give us
- Waitlist. If you join the waitlist for a table, that happens through Toast, a third-party restaurant platform, not through this website. Toast collects and handles that information under its own privacy statement; we only see the guest list Toast provides us to seat you.
- Job applications. If you email us a resume from the Careers page, that email and anything you include in it go to our hiring inbox and are used only to evaluate you for the role. We don't run a separate applicant-tracking system.
This site does not have a newsletter signup, an online ordering account system, or an advertising pixel, so we do not collect information through those channels.
How We Use Information
We use the information above to operate and improve the website, seat guests who join the waitlist, and evaluate job applicants. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it.
Cookies
The only cookies set by this website are the Google Analytics cookies described above. They don't identify you by name. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser's settings; doing so won't affect your ability to browse the site, though Analytics will no longer record your visit.
How We Share Information
We share information only with the service providers named in this policy — Google, for analytics, and Toast, for the waitlist — so they can provide those services. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising purposes.
Data Retention
Google Analytics data is retained according to our Analytics account's retention settings. Job application emails are kept only as long as needed to fill the role, then deleted.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information described in this policy, but no website or email system can guarantee complete security. Please don't include sensitive information, like a Social Security number or financial account number, in a job application email.
Children's Privacy
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us using the details below and we will remove it.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you certain rights over personal information collected about you. We extend these rights to our California guests as a matter of policy.
Categories of information we collect
In the past 12 months, the only categories of personal information we've collected through this website are:
- Identifiers, such as IP address, collected automatically through Google Analytics
- Internet or network activity, such as pages viewed and time on site, through Google Analytics
- Approximate geolocation, derived from IP address, through Google Analytics
- Information you provide directly in a job application email, such as your name, contact information, and resume
We collect this information only to operate and improve the website and to evaluate job applicants. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA.
We do not sell or share your information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because of that, there is no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link on this site — there is nothing to opt out of.
Your rights
- Right to Know / Access — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we've collected about you.
- Right to Delete — request that we delete personal information we've collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Correct — request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
